Join us in commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), a constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)! The grand celebration took place on July 29, 2024, at the AMD Headquarters in Begumpet, Hyderabad, with simultaneous events at seven Regional Centres in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur, Shillong, Jaipur, Nagpur, and Cherlapally (Hyderabad), along with three Sectional Offices in Thiruvananthapuram, Visakhapatnam, and Kolkata. The main function was organized at the Dr. Homi J. Bhabha Auditorium at AMD Headquarters, Hyderabad, and was webcast over an online platform to ensure wider participation.

The event began with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati, followed by a welcome address from Shri Dheeraj Pande, who traced AMD's illustrious history from its origins during World War II to its establishment under the Atomic Energy Commission on July 29, 1949. A special logo commemorating AMD's 75 years of service was unveiled by Dr. Mohanty.
