We had the honor of attending ‘The Eddie,’ one of the most legendary big wave surfing events in the world, held in memory of Eddie Aikau. Eddie was not only a fearless big wave surfer but also a hero who lived with courage and selflessness, giving his life to save others during a rescue mission. Eddie has also saved many lives during his time as a life guard. This invitational celebrates his legacy by bringing together the best surfers to ride the massive waves of Waimea Bay. We had a fun time, waves were huge!
