Welcome back to @FamilyOrchardFarms. We had a beautiful spring and wanted to show you some of the new life around us. Everybody's enjoying eating tender new shoots of grass, and huddled nearby are five newly-hatched Canadian Geese babies.

Their parents come here every year but this year is their first successful hatch. Some are a little slower than others. All around us babies are growing, plants are blooming, and even our duck Mango is still in love with her friend — a rooster we call Mister.

The blue birds have a beautiful view of all the activity as they build their nest and raise their babies. Peacock babies love preening just like their mom Even this small, they’re already getting practice flying.

Nearby, camouflaged in our pond is the mother Canadian goose sitting on her eggs for days. Nearby her mate stands watch. He spends a lot of time working on himself.

He's never too far out of sight.

Days went by. The same waiting. The same watching. Then one day, mother goose starts to hear hatching below. Very quickly all five babies emerge.

They're so cute…and curious about everything. They’ll eating whatever their parents teach them tastes good.
