Half Dome is one of the most famous hikes in the world. The Mist Trail which goes by Vernal and Nevada Falls is always beautiful. The permit season makes it difficult to get permission to climb Half Dome, however before and after this season if you have good weather and some climbing gear you can make it up to the top of Half Dome. We went up the Mist Trail and down the John Muir Trail for more variety and enjoyed perfect weather in late October on top of the image of the North Face, Yosemite's iconic Half Dome

Please note: People have died climbing Half Dome with the cables down and caution must be used when attempting Half Dome with or without the cables. Climb at your own risk.
