YAY! Your monofin arrived! The packaging is actually a reusable monofin backpack with adjustable shoulder straps and mesh material on one side for quick-dry storage 💙

Unzip your bag, remove the paper leaflet.

Pull out the included, optional 5mm booties, which feature smooth-skin inside to prevent chafing and blistering. They are meant for use only with smaller foot sizes (typically USA women’s size 8 and below, or male / international equivalent) so the foot pickets fit comfortably. Larger foot sizes do not require the booties, and will make the foot pockets too tight.

To loosen your straps, firmly hold out the side of the buckle at the thumb indent, and pull the strap through. There should be little resistance.

To tighten the straps, simply tug the circular loop hole at the end of the strap, toward the “heel” area of the strap so there is little resistance.

For smaller feet and tighter foot straps, use the two strap loops on the heel cushion to tuck excess, floppy strap length in. This will streamline your straps, which is especially helpful inside tail skins 💙

With my strap sizing, I like to “set it and forget it.” I never unbuckle my straps (except for quick-release emergencies). Instead, I slide the straps on and off between uses with the top strap loop on the center of the heel strap.

If you unbuckle your straps on the sides for a quick-release emergency, be sure to buckle them back up IMMEDIATELY to prevent the small “female” clip from falling off or getting lost.

Always store your monofin with the straps completely buckled and intact.

Rinse your monofin and booties in fresh, clean water after each use 💦

Store your monofin on its side, like a sleeping baby 🌙 You never want to store it on the fluke tips, because it will bend and warp your fluke 👎🏼

Keep your monofin in a cool, dark place. Sunlight and heat will degrade the materials of your product 🚫🔥☀️

Swim safely! NEVER SWIM ALONE. Only swim with competent adult supervision 🏊🏼‍♀️ 🧜🏼‍♀️ 💦
