Описание к видео 2025 FALL FOLIAGE IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS - Featuring Pinkham, Dixville and Crawford Notches

2025 FALL FOLIAGE IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS with the dazzling, blazing, spectacular radiant colorful leaves of autumn - Featuring Pinkham, Dixville and Crawford Notches. Brilliant Fall Color focusing on both sides of Mt Washington, the Balsams Hotel and the Mount Washington Hotel.

2025 Video by Douglas K. Poor - dd-TV Productions - 4min53sec

The magnificent foliage color in the White Mountains is the result of a unique mix of diverse tree species, specific geography, and a reliable pattern of weather conditions that enhance the brilliance of the leaves. This combination has made the region a world-renowned destination for "leaf peepers."

Pinkham Notch is one of the most storied and significant mountain passes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, renowned for its dramatic landscape, extreme weather, and rich history as a gateway to Mount Washington.

Pinkham Notch is not just a road; it's a colossal mountain pass (notch) formed by the erosive power of the Laurentide Ice Sheet during the last ice age.

The Cirques: Its most famous geographical feature is a series of glacial cirques—huge, amphitheater-like bowls carved into the side of Mount Washington. These include the notorious:
Tuckerman Ravine: Famous worldwide for its steep, late-spring backcountry skiing and snowboarding.
Huntington Ravine: A steep, rocky headwall renowned for technical rock and ice climbing.

Dixville Notch, New Hampshire: is a spectacular, rugged V-shaped mountain pass in New Hampshire's remote Great North Woods region, known for its sheer rock formations and the scenic viewpoint of Table Rock.

The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel: The economic and social heart of the notch. It began as the Dix House in 1866 and was expanded into a major 400-room luxury resort by industrialist Henry Hale, featuring the famous Donald Ross Panorama Golf Course.

the Omni Mount Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, is a saga of Gilded Age opulence, economic crisis, and world-changing diplomacy. Construction and Style: Ground was broken in 1900. The hotel was built in the Spanish Renaissance Revival style, featuring a distinctive white exterior, a red roof, and a grand, colonnaded veranda. Over 250 master Italian craftsmen were brought in to complete the masonry and woodworking.
