Simple Mobility Scooter Controller Modification

In my opinion, the "WigWag" controllers found on virtually all mobilty scooters are dangerous by design, and should be banned. I modified my dad's one for that very reason, and fitted a thumb throttle and key switch, operating a cheap Chinese BRUSHED DC motor controller. The only other thing I had to do was add a "reversing module" into the motor power cable, which switches the polarity of the feed wires when the reverse signal is received (via a small switch on the instrument panel). In my opinion, this is an infinitely safer way of doing things than the stupid WigWag tiller design. The bloke who came up with that idea should be identified and shot!

Anyway, rather than show you the actual installation on the scooter, I have mocked up the installation to make it easier to understand. I hope you find it useful.
