Good Morning Minute! ⚠️Winter Weather Alert Day⚠️

A powerful blast of winter weather generating heavy snow and high wind prompts a Weather Alert Day for Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day. Driving conditions on what is one of the heaviest travel days of the year will be potentially hazardous at times.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Van Buren, Allegan, Barry, Oceana, Newaygo, and Mecosta counties for Wednesday and Thanksgiving day. Counties in West Michigan surrounding the Storm Warning are under a Winnter Weather Advisory for the same time period. In the Warning area, up to half a foot of snow could fall. In the Advisory area, 2-4" are possible. Wind gusts of 50 mph -- and higher along the Lake Michigan shoreline -- may create whiteout conditions at times on area roads.
