Blue & Copper Leaf Dot Mandala - Tutorial - Step by Step

Watch me paint this hexagon Blue and Copper Leaf printed Dot Mandala step by step... these videos are done to give you some inspiration to create your own personal designs... I have used a mixture of leaf printing and dotting on this design to create something different from just a dot mandala... it was so much fun and I would suggest you give it a go...

Paints used in this video are Global Paints in Metallic Copper, White and Scuba Diver (this was a limited edition paint and may no longer be available) all mixed with Pouring Medium at a ratio of 3 parts paint and 1 part pouring medium with a touch of water... and just plain Black for the Background...

The board used here is a hexagon stretched canvas 78cms x 89cms with the middle circle measuring 21cms and the outer edge circle measuring 47cms... but this design could also easily be done on a square canvas...
The guidelines are drawn using a watercolour pencil... rings are very roughly 1cm apart... some do vary as these are used as a guide only so you get all the strokes even... add as many circles as you like... the more lines you make the more reference points you have to make your work even...

The Ball Stylus Dotting tools I am using in the video are from the McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and the dotting rods are from Happy Dotting Company...
