This footage was taken from a recent dive on Snake Wall just off Snake Island which is a few minutes out of Nanaimo Harbour by boat.

This is a fantastic deep water dive where you're really only limited by your certification, capability, and comfort level. We cruised along the wall at a max depth of 112 feet but you can see the wall cascading down as far as you can see. This dive was in late December so the visibility was fantastic. According to Navionics it's anywhere from 250' to 500'+ feet deep to the bottom of the wall depending on where you look on the chart.

There is lots of life on the wall including large carpets of plumose anemone, pink crimson anemone, large lingcod, rockfish, schools of perch, the odd sea lion will cruise by, giant pacific octopus, and more. It's a great dive with a lot of really neat topography.
