Florida’s cannabis industry has been one of the most followed since its inception. The regulatory framework and increasing patient counts have created the largest medical marijuana program and one of the most profitable cannabis economies in the country. With a limited amount of licenses and its vertically integrated license structure, Florida’s cannabis industry is one of the most unique in the country. This webinar will highlight the past, present and future of the Florida cannabis industry. This panel of industry experts will first explore the history of Florida’s cannabis industry; discussing the landscape that led to the creation of the program and the continued development of the regulatory framework. Next the panel will explore the current state of Florida’s cannabis industry, what creates a successful cannabis industry and how the current landscape promotes or hinders that success. Lastly, the panel will explore the future of the Florida cannabis industry. Specifically looking at the current potential for increased licenses, the likelihood of adult-use or recreational marijuana and what an adult-use cannabis program looks like.
