Elvis Presley with "Little Sister" recorded from the original South-African late era 78 rpm shellac single on RCA 71.372. Released in Brazil in 1961, "Little Sister", B-side to "His Latest Flame", was originally released in the US in August 1961 with "His Latest Flame" peaking at Nr. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Chart and "Little Sister" at Nr. 5. Both sides were recorded on June 25, 1961 at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee with Elvis Presley on lead vocals, Hank Garland on electric lead guitar, Neal Matthews on guitar, Bob Moore on bass, Floyd Cramer on piano, Homer 'Boots' Randolph on Claves and D.J. Fontana and Buddy Harman on drums. Backup vocals by Millie Kirkham and the Jordanaires featuring Gordon Stoker, Neal Matthews, Hoyt Hawkins and Hugh Jarrett. The session was engineered by Bill Porter and produced by Steve Sholes. Words and music by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman.
