A culture of silence, stigma and taboos surrounds the female anatomy and gynecological health and as a result, women often delay seeking medical advice. This in turn impacts on screening and can lead to late diagnosis.

That is why we have launched the Get Lippy campaign which seeks to raise much needed awareness of the five gynae cancers and their signs and symptoms. Critically, it’s also raising funds for world-class medical research in women’s health and prevention. It’s time to break the silence and talk loudly to challenge the taboos.

Here BRCA2 carrier and TV presenter Michelle Heaton tells us what she want's to Get Lippy about this May.

The campaign has a simple call to action: Get Lippy by purchasing a lipstick from a #GetLippy partner and literally Get Lippy by talking openly about the signs and symptoms and sharing a ‘pout and shout’ selfie on social media, spreading info on signs and symptoms to help raise awareness and vital funds for pioneering research into early detection of these women-specific cancers.
