Here's my Sega Genesis / Mega Drive version of Ryu's Theme from Street Fighter Alpha and Street Fighter Alpha 2. The game series is also known as Street Fighter Zero in other parts of the world. I created this song from scratch in the free version of Deflemask and as always runs on actual Genesis hardware. Did I pull off a decent version of this CPS 2 arcade board Q-sound song? You tell me!

For those interested, I created the FM instruments (patches) from myself inside of Deflemask. I used Dark Audacity to handle the samples. I used multidumperGUI to break the channels into individual wave files and I then used Corroscope to create the oscilliscope views for those channels. I edit all my videos in Davinci Resolve. All the tools used to create this are free.

This one was tough since the original uses 16 sound channels and on the Genesis we only have 10. The arcade board uses four channels just for percussion alone so that's what was cut back the most. Obviously the instruments don't sound as good as the powerful mid 90s CPS2 arcade hardware running the original, but I think it turned out pretty well, overall.
