Wild and Scenic Allegheny River – Oil City to Emlenton – 3 Day Paddle Adventure

This Allegheny River Paddle adventure is a 42 mile, 3 day/2 night SUP paddle from Oil City to Emlenton PA. We explored the designated Wild and Scenic river, passing by small towns, creeks, bridges, beautiful islands and wilderness and wildlife along the way.

On night 1 we camped at the Samuel Justus Recreation Trail in Franklin, PA. Maps indicated camping was permitted in this area along the river and bike trail.

On night 2 we camped at the Primitive Campsites at Danner Campground in the Clear Creek State Forest. This is a walk up first-come first-served campground.
