Описание к видео Why Do Children and Adults Learn Differently? / HFA Symposium 2024

The Hector Fellow Academy Symposium 2024 was dedicated to the fascinating world of childhood learning and brain development. Dr. Sebastian Frank from the University of Regensburg kicked off with exciting insights into neural learning mechanisms in children, particularly in visual perceptual learning. Prof. Dr. Ileana Hanganu-Opatz from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf presented her research on the melody of the immature brain and how it influences cognitive abilities in adulthood. Prof. Dr. Brigitte Röder from the University of Hamburg shed light on the importance of early childhood experiences for brain development, based on studies of individuals born blind who later regained their sight. Emeritus Prof. Dr. Thomas Elbert from the University of Konstanz provided insights into the epigenetically supported imprinting of trauma and violent experiences, and how these can be transmitted transgenerationally. The event was moderated by Andrea Grießmann, author and TV presenter for programs like "Planet Wissen".

Immerse yourself in the world of childhood learning and research on learning mechanisms!
