After an intense gun battle that lasted for nearly 8 hours, an operation by security forces in Handwara town in India's Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district has come to an end. According to news agency PTI, one Colonel, one major, two Army jawans and a police sub-inspector were killed in this encounter with militants.
An encounter took place between the army and the militants in Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir. In this operation, the army killed two foreign terrorists while 5 soldiers including two army officers have been martyred. The martyrs include a colonel, a major, two army personnel and a sub-inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
