Скачать или смотреть DIY Above Ground Garden Box using the Hügelkultur Method

Today, I will show you what you will need to build your own above ground garden box using the Hügelkultur method of gardening.These can be built using just a few hand tools and a little skill. I purchased all materials used in this video from my local Menard's but they can also be purchased from most big box hardware stores. This can be built to any dimension you desire and can be done in a day.

By design they are easier to plant, water, weed and harvest than a traditional in-ground garden and often produce bigger and better yields in a smaller space. Imagine never having to bend over very far to pick your vegetables ever again.

In case you're wondering what the Hügelkultur method is, here is what Wikipedia has to say about it;
"Hügelkultur is a horticultural technique where a mound constructed from decaying wood debris and other compostable biomass plant materials is later (or immediately) planted as a raised bed. Adopted by permaculture advocates, it is suggested the technique helps to improve soil fertility, water retention, and soil warming, thus benefiting plants grown on or near such mounds". While this is an above ground "mound" the principal is still the same. Over time the decaying wood will provide nutrients to the soil and your plants will thrive.
