Simon J Woolf is an English wine and beverage writer. Simon has for many years followed the development of organic wines, biodynamic wines, natural wines and orange wines. In 2018, Simon published an excellent book that was only about orange wines. The book "Amber Revolution" was directly ranked by The New York Times as one of that year's five best wine books.

Simon's writing career started as a coincidence when he founded "The Morning Claret" in 2011. The online magazine highlights natural and crafted wines.

The website is today known as one of the most reliable sources about, and for, natural wines. Other writing assignments are now also for prominent international wine press such as Decanter magazine, Meininger's Wine Business International and many more on or off internet.

Simon J Woolf was in 2018 awarded the Louis Roederer International Wine Writing Award as "International Feature Writer of the Year"!

At Must - Fermenting Ideas Wine Summit 2019 Simon obviously highlighted natural wines as a phenomenon, a trend and as a paradigm shift in the wine world. The lecture went in a reasoning style about the benefits of the natural wines and their shortcomings, as a group mainly concering the "right" attention.
The talk went on about the lack of regulations but also about the ever stronger movement among winemakers, all over the world, who wants to embrace parts of the natural wines signature. Among other things, minimizing the use of sulfur in manufacturing as well as in the fields.
