We've been riding an e- bike fitted with SRAM's XX T-Type Transmission since October 2022. That's 15 months, through the best part (worst part?) of two UK winters, including the wettest October in over 20 years.

With our T-Type Transmission having now racked up over 1,200km, we take a look at how it's wearing, and reveal what we've learned about this much-hyped drivetrain.

Including what happens when you bend the mech, how the chain can escape the cage, how the gear change speed differs from old AXS, and what we think about the overall shifting performance.
