URSA 12K vs BMPCC 6K vs Sony FX6 - Resolution comparison

In this review I'm looking at footage from the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K (in 12K, 8K and 4K), the Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro (in 6K BRAW and 4K ProRes) and the Sony FX6 (in 4K All-i and 4.2K ProResRAW and DNG RAW).

This is a technical consideration in an area that is artistic - nevertheless, technical knowledge and experience is the basis for being able to make better artistic decisions.

While there's a difference between 12K and 4K, that doesn't mean that higher resolution is necessary or useful for everyone, but high-resolution sensors can offer benefits even if you're not shooting at their maximum resolution.
There is no single right answer - Trust but Verify.
