In a relief to e-rickshaw operators, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari announced on Tuesday that the battery-operated rickshaws will not be barred from plying in the national capital and they will be considered as non-motorised vehicles. But is it not a pre-planned way to woo the 2 lakh e-rickshaw drivers after the disappointment in 2014 Lok Sabha elections from the Delhi constituency?
