After hearing the incredible news last week that the offer we put on our dream house up here in Scotland was accepted we wasted no time jumping in our van and exploring the area we we're going to be living in!
Since our new house is a pretty big renovation project we wanted to talk to local people about their experiences with building a house, planning permission, water source management, airtightness, insulation, and indoor air quality and all the things we may encounter on our barn build. We need as many home renovation tips as we can get!
So we headed to The Pine Marten Lodge in the Cairngorms National Park to meet with Nick the owner and rack his brains on how he built this off grid cabin in the woods.
