Welcome!
I’m so excited to share this Painting 101 class with you! In this online, self-paced class, we’ll be painting two artworks at the same time—one of my favourite ways to paint. You’ll follow the same steps for both pieces and finish with two completed paintings you can proudly display.
This class is designed to be approachable, relaxing, and encouraging, whether you’re newer to painting or just want a creative reset.

Class Details
• Self-paced, online class
• 8 video lessons
• Approx. 90 minutes total

Video Lesson Breakdown
Each lesson is its own video with the following titles:
Video Lessons 1–2: Prime, Trace and Draw
Video Lessons 3–5: Pinks, Yellows and Greens
Video Lessons 6–8: Wash, White and Details

Supply List
Brushes
• One broad flat brush (1–2 inches wide)
• A few medium flat brushes
• Small round brushes for detail work

Surfaces
• 2 canvases, 12 x 16 inches

Paint Colours - I use Liquitex Basics for this class
• Black acrylic ink
• Titanium White (heavy body acrylic)
• Cadmium Yellow
• Cadmium Red
• Rose Pink
• Magenta
• Deep Violet
• Sap Green
• Vivid Lime Green
• Hooker’s Green
• Prussian Blue
• Turquoise Deep

Other Materials
• Gesso (to prime your canvas)
• Carbon paper (for transferring the image)
• Paint cloth or rag
