Le Corbusier conceived the master plan of Chandigarh as analogous to the human body, with the Capitol Complex as a clearly defined head. The complex comprises three architectural masterpieces (the projects can be found separately on MIMOA): the 'Secretariat', the 'High Court' and the 'Legislative Assembly', separated by large piazzas. The High Court was constructed from 1951 to 1957.
