Mary Berry's Foolproof Dinners E05 Full Episode: Mary meets new friend, Dragon’s Den star and entrepreneur Sara Davies. Sara has just celebrated a big birthday and is planning a host of dinner parties for friends and family to mark the occasion. Sara enjoys cooking, but needs inspiration and where better to be inspired than the magnificent and historic Cliveden House, where Mary has celebrated some of her own family birthdays over the years. Mary comes armed with a sumptuous selection of foolproof dishes especially for entertaining. Her celebration menu includes delicious bite-sized Lemongrass Crab Cakes with zingy salsa; sophisticated prep-ahead Duck Breast with Brandy Sauce; an impressive centrepiece Coq au Vin Pie, ideal for wowing guests at the dinner table; luxurious Langoustine Paella, bursting with shellfish, perfect for an alfresco party; and the pièce de résistance for a special occasion: Mary’s foolproof version of a French classic, decadent Floating Islands with caramel.

After talking about Sara’s plans for her birthday year and her love of Mary’s recipes, Mary gives Sara a tour around spectacular Cliveden, teaching her about its history and showing her the beautiful room that hosted her mother’s 100th birthday party. They bond over their shared love of entertaining and finish with a celebratory glass of champagne on the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens. Mary sets Sara a final challenge to test her newfound cooking confidence – she asks Sara to make her Floating Islands recipe by herself at home and let her know how she gets on.
