Fishing Small Bayous LOADED With Trout - Pretty Much Hammered The Fish

February can be a tough month for fishing in Southeast Louisiana, but that pattern isn't holding so far this year. Small bayous in the marsh can be loaded with Speckled Trout and Redfish. Me and my son (8) found just that. Once we got warmed up, the action was through the roof. We fished artificial swimbaits on jigheads. I started Destin off with live shrimp under a cork and he caught a couple of Trout before a major wind knot took that pole out of commission. Switched him over to the bait caster and artificial like I was fishing, and he commenced to hammer down on the fish.
