Kali is the Hindu goddess of death and rebirth, she expresses the dual nature of the destruction that must come before new beginnings, and of the strength of the female power which can sometimes do what the man cannot. She is also the goddess of time.
Kali's earliest appearance is when she emerged from Durga. The goddess is stated to destroy evil in order to defend the innocent. Over time, Kali has been worshipped by devotional movements and Tàntric sects variously as the Divine Mother, Mother of the Universe, Principal energy Adi Shakti.[3][4][5] Shakta Hindu and Tantric sects additionally worship her as the ultimate reality or Brahman.[5] She is also seen as the divine protector and the one who bestows moksha, or liberation.[3] Worshipped throughout South Asia but particularly in Nepal, South India, Bengal, and Assam, Kali is a central figure in the goddess-centric traditions of Hinduism as well as in Shaivism.[1][6]

Mon re krishikaaj jano na' is essentially a devotional song written and composed by Sadhak Ramprasad Sen dating back to almost 250 to 270 years from now. On one hand the song worships the goddess Kali and describes the inner philosophy of human lives on the other. As the 3rd centenary of Ramprasad commences in 2023, 'Manajomin' pays a tribute to him through the rendition of this song in Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh's voices.
