In PianoForte Level One students learn the solfa syllables of the diatonic scale. The syllables are presented throughout a a progressive series of songs. Each piece can be played in three different positions - tonal keys - which gives students practice playing amongst the black keys as well as deepening their understanding of moveable DO Solfa.

This song “Grey Goat” is a favourite. It presents rhythmic and tempo challenges.
