Opportunity to Fail | Andy Boy | TEDxColumbus

Andy discusses how they are creating a college, career, and life prep education that is making a real difference for the students they serve. He challenges us to make failure a part of the learning and to take risks for our most at risk youth, so that they too can accomplish their dreams.



Andy is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at the United Schools Network (USN). He opened his charter school, Columbus Collegiate Academy (CCA-Main), in 2008. The school, which serves about 240 students in grades 6-8, received an “Excellent” rating from the Ohio Department of Education in 2012. Recently, CCA-Main also won the Gold Star EPIC award from New Leaders for New Schools for its extraordinary student achievement gains; it was one of only four schools nationwide to win the honor.
