How to Grow Elderberry & Salmonberry From Seed! Zone 6 Winter Garden - Wildly Canadian Episode 0.9

Back again folks!

I am excited to begin growing some ‘superfoods’! Salmon berries are a perennial related to raspberries but with a golden blush colour, something more unique in the Rubus family. European Elder or the Common Elderberry is famous for both it’s medicinal and culinary uses. It will take a while for any substantial growth but sometimes that’s the same with humans ;)
Richter’s Herbs is where I sourced my Elder seeds from and they have a FANTASTIC selection of rare varieties from all around the world! They have an amazing story and I hope you check them out - very thankful to have access to them here in Zone 6 Ontario. Gardening is a privilege and a passion for me, and I hope to find more people with that common interest :)

These will be chilled and planted in a few weeks, and there are many ways to stratify your seeds but this is my method.
