Borrow: I borrowed a pen from my colleague during the meeting. Lend: My colleague lent me a pen because I forgot mine.

Borrow: Can I borrow your car to drive to the airport? Lend: I’ll lend you my car, but be careful with it!

Borrow: She borrowed my umbrella because it was raining. Lend: I lent her my umbrella since she didn’t have one.

Borrow: He borrowed a pair of gloves from his brother for the cold weather. Lend: His brother lent him a pair of gloves for the day.

Borrow: I borrowed a chair from the next room for extra seating. Lend: They lent me a chair because we didn’t have enough.

Borrow: Can I borrow your phone to make a quick call? Lend: I lent him my phone so he could call his friend.

Borrow: She borrowed a dress from her sister for the party. Lend: Her sister lent her the dress for the evening.
