Resolve or Get Past a Missing BitLocker Recovery Key.

I recently had a near new laptop shut down and require a 48 digit BitLocker Recovery Key, which I did not have! It was supposed to be saved to my Microsoft account when the encryption occurred, but it was not there, nor was I ever prompted to save it. Microsoft was no help, and the manufacturer was no help either. But I did discover two potential work arounds, one of which worked for me.
