Episode 1 - Nirvanmargnu Rahasya (The Essence of the Path of Liberation)

What is the essence of the path of liberation? What is the secret of reaching the highest state of spirituality? To know the answers to these questions, hear these series of discourses by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji on Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrut Patrank 172. Being the first letter written by Shrimad Rajchandraji to His jewel-like devotee Pujyashri Lalluji Muni, it holds a special place in the hearts of devotees. Reflect upon the teachings given in these discourses and abide in them to realise the essence of all scriptures and attain liberation.

English Translation of Patrank 172:
“Mohamayi, Kartik Sudi 14, Wednesday, 1947

Seeker of Truth-Devoted to the path, Khambhat.

Received your letter intimating supreme devotion yesterday. It enhanced my joy.

Since time immemorial, one has remained deluded about one’s own Self; this is an inexpressible and incredible realm of reflection. How can words express what the mind cannot fathom?

Constantly pursue the practice of dispassion; become engrossed in devotion towards the Enlightened One; reminisce the lives of the Enlightened Ones; reflect upon the attributes of the Enlightened Ones; observe with your heart, the countenance of the Enlightened Ones; contemplate over and over again upon the wondrous mysteries of each expression of Their mind, speech, and body; accept everything that They have accepted.

This is the supreme secret that the Enlightened Ones have kept hidden in Their heart, that is worth accepting for liberation, worth having faith in, worth reflecting upon repeatedly and worth abiding in at every moment and at all times. And this alone is the supreme path to realise the essence of all scriptures, the heart of all saints, the abode of God. And the cause of all these is the attainment of a living Enlightened Master, and unswerving faith towards Him.

What more is there to write? Today, or perhaps tomorrow, or perhaps in a million years and maybe even later or earlier than that; realising this alone, attaining this alone is the way out. This alone is acceptable to every pore of my being.

I shall bear in mind to write at the opportune time. Conduct spiritual discussions with your acquaintances and keep meeting them such that they benefit.

This letter can be better understood from Ambalal. Contemplate upon this letter in his presence. Should he or Tribhovan etc., require it, give them the letter to copy.

This alone is a humble exposition.
