In this video I share a family favorite knot, the Highwayman's Hitch!

This is a quick release knot that is unique because when you pull the tag end, all the rope is released on your side of the post, meaning you can make for a quick getaway. Other types of quick release often leave you with one last turn (or two!) that causes you to spend an extra second fiddling with the rope, which leaves just enough time for the highwayman to make an escape.
