Über den Globus
Mit einem Durchmesser von 7 Metern (im Vergleich zu einer Höhe von 2 Stockwerken) zeigt GAIA detaillierte NASA-Bilder de Erdoberfläche in 120dpi.
Das Kunstwerk bietet die Möglichkeit, unseren Planeten dreidimensional zu sehen.
Die Installation lässt den sogenannten Overview-Effekt entstehen.

Astronauten erleben beim Anblick der Erde ein Gefühl der Ehrfurcht vor unserem Planeten, ein tiefes Verständnis für Zusammenhänge allen Lebens und ein neues Verantwortungsgefühl für den Schutz.

Also:Wenn man diese Arbeit sieht, wird einem bewusst, wie klein und unbedeutend wir sind und wie sehr wir die Pflicht haben, diesen Planeten zu schützen.

About the Earth Globe
