Currently, video games have transcended beyond being a simple hobby to become a way of life. The gaming community is huge and passionate but often faces challenges connecting with other gamers with the same interests and preferences. This is where an innovative mobile app intended to be featured at a hackathon comes into play. This social app, designed specifically for the gaming community, promises to revolutionize the way gamers mingle, connect, and find the right game partners.

Tech Stack

Flutter

Framework: I used Flutter because it is my favourite framework and it helps me develop faster.

Html

I use basic HTML for account verification and new password in Appwrite, but it can be migrated to any js framework

Appwrite Cloud

Authentication: I used this feature to allow users to register and log in to the application. I used the following login methods:

Email

OAuth (Google)

Database: I used this feature to store user information like profile details, posts, comments, messages, etc.

Functions: I use this feature to create chats between users through the Appwrite Teams service where you have to send an email to the other user. and wait for him to accept the invitation. Through this feature, it was possible to create the chat without the verification of the other user.

Realtime: I used this feature to display comments and messages in real-time.

Storage: I used this feature to store the images and videos of the posts as the profile picture of the users.
