This is the full length trip report with natural sounds and on-trail commentary from a 4-day backpacking adventure that Joey, Michael, Brent and I took to North Carolina's Black Mountains. In May 2022 we did the full crest of the highest mountain range east of the Mississippi including Mt Mitchell.

We covered ~29 miles in Pisgah National Forest starting at Bowlens Creek Trailhead and ending at Cane River Gap.
