Let's Learn About Arts For All's 5 Core Values: Self-Confidence

This Artistic Residency Program Series features Arts For All Teaching Artist Leah Young highlighting AFA's 5 Core Values: Self-Confidence, Self-Expression, Teamwork, Resilience, and Creativity.

In this video, Leah explains the importance of SELF-CONFIDENCE and reads along to “Fantastic You” written by Danielle Dufayet, illustrated by Jennifer Zivoin. Leah also shows us how to create a Self-Confidence shield decorated with drawings, colors, and words that represent a child's strengths and positive qualities. 

This video series incorporates Spanish vocabulary to assist young English Language Learners (ELL) as well as English speaking youth looking to learn Spanish.

Esta serie de Programas de Residencia Artística presenta a la Artista Docente de Arts For All, Leah Young, destacando los 5 Valores Fundamentales de AFA: Autoconfianza, Autoexpresión, Trabajo en Equipo, Resiliencia y Creatividad.

En este video, Leah explica la importancia de la Autoconfianza y lee "Fantastic You", escrito por Daniell Dufayet e ilustrado por Jennifer Zivoin. Leah también nos muestra cómo crear un escudo de Autoconfianza decorado con dibujos, colores y palabras que representan la fuerza y cualidades positivas de lxs niñxs.

Leah is an Atlanta born singer/actor. She currently trains with the AMAW New York acting studio. When not performing, she is supporting others with bicultural and bilingual immersion. Leah is so honored to be a lifelong storyteller, holding reverence and compassion for the human experience.

Through our Artistic Residency Program, AFA’s professional artists teach music, theater, dance, visual art, poetry and film workshops to under-served children aged 4-19. AFA partners with public schools and community organizations lacking funding for arts programming. We work with the needs of our partnering organizations to provide arts programs for the length of time, age groups and artistic disciplines they request.
