As the leaves on the trees begin to change, so do the styles of beers offered up at pubs and in stores. While several of these styles are definitely available year-round, they just seem to taste better when combined with the crisp autumn air.

In the Sloan Krause Mysteries, Sloan has brewed several of these styles and that's not by accident. I've done a lot of research while writing the series (hey, somebody has to do it! 😊) and have learned so much from the wonderful beer experts I've spoken to and shared pints with. I am NOT a beer expert by any stretch, but I thought I'd share some of what I've learned and a few of the styles that have become fall favorites for me while writing this series.
