What with the blistering hot🌞weather at the weekend we just couldn't get the kart dialled in for Saturday testing! Starting to think it was the old chassis we'd changed back to or the old tyres we were using. Had 2 race meeting old tyres for Sunday race day, made quite a few changes to the kart setup, which seemed to turn things around.

☀️Heat 1: Not the best of starts, dropped from P6 to the back of the pack in P11 on the first lap - brakes got stuck at the second chicane. Kart setup did seemed OK as up to P9 by lap 2 and P7 by lap 3 only to move back a place to P8 on the final lap. Promoted to P7 due to other penalties.

☀️Heat 2: Made some changes to the kart as we started at the back of the grid on this heat. Took a few laps but made a place on lap 5 and a another on lap 6 to move up to P9 and that's how we finished.

☀️Heat 3: The kart seemed ok on the last heat, so no changes. Lost a place on the start putting us back to P4. Back to P3 by lap 2, even got up to P2 by lap 4 but unfortunately drop back to P3 on lap 5 then another position lost on lap 7. Came over the line in a respectful P4.

☀️Final: P7 start with a few positions gained, up to P4 by the 4th lap. Into 3rd for a lap or 2, before being put back into 4th! Moved down to P5 with 2 laps to go. The final lap was upon us and an opening seemed to be there but unfortunately it was missed judged and Melissa Adrian (4th at the time) got can't up and taken out. Both karts back on track but finished last.

Sorry Melissa about the contact, podium finish was so close!

Next stop: Fulbeck in July for the 4th round of the JKC.
