Bogotá's Chapinero, Zona G, & Zona T have the Best Food in Colombia

Day two was off to a good start! We woke up to the sound of someone buzzing at the front door, and it turned out to be United with our bags! After getting clean with our once lost luggage, we headed out to get empanadas and head up to Zona-T in the North of the city. Between stumbling upon some beautiful iglesias (churches), we had some Lulada, which was recommended to us by a Colombian that was on our flight with us. It's a frozen fruit drink with Lulo, a local fruit.

Later, we stopped at Abasto, a cute restaurant with a great outdoor seating area. I had corozo, a sweet drink with the infamous Colombian liquor called Aguardiente, and she had a mojito. The food was absolutely delicious and authentically local.

We finally made it to Zona-T, which is a more upscale shopping area, with tons of shops that you can see all over the world as well as local ones. It's also home to one of the most popular restaurants in Bogotá, Andrés D.C. It's a steakhouse with one of the largest menus I've ever seen, and it's a meat-lover's paradise. The ambience was fun and lovely (literally), and the theming was great. We got a dish to share, the portions were huge, the joint was poppin', but it was all very delicious!

Slowly but surely, I have gotten more and more chances to speak Spanish, which makes me glad I came to Colombia!
