Easy mission aside, I think that the new cryo cannon overclock is among the strongest, if not the strongest. It has actually absurd freezing potential against big enemies like oppressors and detonators (the latter being quite annoying for cryo usually) while also providing benefits against grunts and especially swarmers, not to mention that you still have cold radiance, which basically translates into one of the best and most safe/survivable loadouts for solo play (for certain mission types that is, like mining expedition, refinery and salvage).

This combo can still work in a team (to a lesser extent than solo), although at that point it depends on what loadouts they have and if they synergize with cryo well or not.
