Using a Grey Layer for Selecting and Masking in Photoshop

One effective way to cut out elements for composite images is by using a grey layer for selecting and masking. I actually prefer this method over the usual Select and Mask tool. It gives you more control. If you want to improve your editing skills, give this technique a try!
