✈️ After each solo trip, I always write a list of lessons that I learned along my journey while on my plane ride home. (this video is adapted from the list!)

Here is that list:
1. Take more pictures of rental cars
2. Rainy days should be embraced with rainy playlists, runs in the rain, and waterfall hikes.
3. There are good people in this world that are willing to help guide you out of the dark.
4. When on a hike and you feel like you are not headed in the right direction, turn around until you feel confident.
5. Jumping over a river of streaming water should be executed if you use a log stick
6. Reconnecting with old friends warms the soul and reminds you how much you have changed. Keep those friends close.
7. Sometimes dessert than dinner is the move
8. Catching a sunset is a sport and it takes trial and error to find the best spot.
9. Trust the timing in all things
10. If you don't know the next step, just take a step and trust you will figure it out
11. Face your fears. Climb the mountain. The views at the top are absolutely insanely beautiful
12. Sunset hikes are beautiful, but remember a headset with a light next time
13. Don't do a long hike before dinner
14. Flat tires turn into a blown out tire. Just pull over. No matter how important the destination is.
15. If he doesn't reach out then he isn't interested. The end. All talk nooooo play. (don't ask!)
16. Malibu style is so cute. Embrace it. wear it. be it.
17. When solving a conflict, remain calm. Control what you can, let go of the rest
18. Waterfalls are beautiful and should be enjoyed frequently!
19. Solo dinner dates in a restaurant are fine, but solo dinner dates on the beach or mountain are way better
20. If you can't find parking in 5 minutes, do valet. Don't waste time
21. Get to the sunset destination spot 20 Minutes in advance to take advantage of golden hour glow
22. Sometimes the time with people are short. That's okay. Cherish every moment. Time and energy are a gift and you never get that back. Ever.
23. Elite grocery stores have great dinner options
24. Dropping a bag on food is not important to me. Dropping a bag on experiences are so important.
25. PCH has free parking. Do that
26. Make a playlist for each day. Don't get sick of the repeats
27. Fancy sports cars do not impress me or make me feel more alive. Just want the classic Tesla most times.
28. Order the tesla. You will be happier & enjoy the smooth ride
29. When Napping in a tesla, turn on camping mode & extend the chair back. Super comfy. Naps solve everything.
30. If you love something, you love every part of it. Flaws and all. In other words, when it rains in Cali and I can't do much, embrace it. There is a hidden beauty in rainy days in socal. Artsy. Majestic.
31. Always bring chapstick
32. Always take the picture.
33. Beach yoga cleanses the soul. Do this daily.
34. There is absolutely no seaglass in Malibu
35. Mentally schedule a time to dive into your conflicts that need a solution. Don't let the conflict take over your mind and ruin the trip. That's relevant for life too.
36. Always get dessert
37. Become friends with the ice cream scoop person so that you get more samples \ more content in your cone
38. Never judge some one or assume anything. Everyone is just trying to play the game.
39. Go back to Malibu. It makes your heart sing. It makes you smile. You feel SO alive.
