Tier 7 Yukon Battleship - Yukon zırhlısı | World of Warships Blitz

The HMCS Yukon was a draft in the King George V class project that would have served for the Canadian navy. It was designed around a King George V class hull and 381 mm guns in a 3x3 layout.

In game, the ship is a tier 7 Commonwealth premium battleship that resembles the british tier 8 Monarch because it has the same guns. However, the main difference, aside from the tier, is it loses the Rapid Reload 2 of the tech tree counterpart in exchange for 4 charges of spotter plane 1. What this enables the ship to do is, for 30 seconds, have improved gun range (14km+ when active) therefore having slightly better dispersion for that period of time when it is active. Because of its 19 second base reload, you can fire 2 salvos with the scout plane in the air. The ship has very good concealment values (8.6kms, average of tier 7 being between 9.5 and 10kms), has good speed (28 knots) and turn time (9.8 seconds). The dispersion is decent and the shell velocity is more on the lower side. Granted it's not a very tanky ship, if you use your concealment wisely it can be a very sneaky; at times you can surprise cruisers by staying in stealth and firing when they show broadside, or go undetected when you are being focused. It is very consistent which makes it quite comfortable to play and has decent Anti Aircraft for its tier. Its secondaries are very standard british

When it comes to builds, there's 2 options. The standard battleship build would be Turret Traverse or Reload mod on slot 1 for better gun performance, Acceleration in slot 2 to have better agility when dodging torps or shells and Concealment in slot 3 for decreased surface detection. The less conventional build is about turn time and keeps the open option of Traverse or Reload in slot one, but goes double steering in the following 2, enabling the ship to turn at almost cruiser levels (7.425 seconds).

As for the engagement against Zara, Scharnhorst and aircraft carrier: it is a very common techinque called kiting. When fighting multiple targets or superior targets, you angle your ship so it is facing the same direction as the enemy ship or ships and accelerate and decelerate to dodge shells. In a battleship it is a bit complicated because they are sturdy and don't accelerate well but it can still be done.

Overall it is a very solid and enjoyable ship that shares some traits with the british battleships, and the price it comes for in the shipyard is very good. Higher level commander and historical camo are nice to have since they make the ship more comfortable to play but they are not imperative to get good results.
