Walter Hyatt and The King Tears Band “ Going To New Orleans”

Описание к видео Walter Hyatt and The King Tears Band “ Going To New Orleans”

This song (along with Houston Town) are the last recordings we have of Walter. He and The King Tears band (Rick Gordon-guitar, Rick Plant-bass and the late Billy Block-drums) recorded these tracks live at Mark Montgomery's Chelsea Music studio in Brentwood, intended to be the start of a new album. "Going To New Orleans" dates back to the mid 80's when he performed it on Steve Fromholz's radio show and was included in Walter's "Austin City Limits" taping in 1990. Champ Hood did a fine "zydeco flavored" version on his 2002 solo album, "Bon Haven" and even today, the song is practically a "standard" around Austin clubs. This track and "Houston Town" were remastered by Grammy Award winning engineer, Micheal Graves in 2024. Available on Walter Hyatt- "Unfinished Business Vol. 3"
