8 lightweight tissue papers or gift wrapping papers (thin and light)

A small wire ring (you can bend a wire coat hanger into a ring)

A birthday candle or tea light

Tape

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Make the Balloon Envelope:
Cut 8 sheets of tissue/gift paper into the same size rectangles (approx. 30cm x 40cm).

Glue them together along the edges to form a balloon-shaped lantern.

Keep the top sealed and leave a small circular opening at the bottom.

2. Attach the Wire Ring:
Fix the wire ring around the bottom opening using glue or tape. This helps the balloon maintain its shape.

3. Install the Heat Source:
Secure a candle or a cotton ball soaked in wax in the center of the wire ring using tape or thin wire.

4. Launch the Balloon:
Go outdoors on a windless night.

Hold the balloon upright using a wooden stick.

Light the candle or wax ball.

As hot air fills the balloon, it will gradually become lighter and begin to lift off.
