Taking out the Red Flying Vehicles with Gungnir is a long process. Don't shoot when the Vehicle is to the right of the mast. Gungnir is similar to Idunn, meaning that its shot can ricochet off of a target and hit something else. A Ranger can pull the flyers with Stringer J9 more safely when needed.
Keep in mind that Gungnir is able to cancel Erginus' attacks. Hence you might want to keep one Gungnir ready to whack him out of attack mode.
