Risk factors for heart disease are commonplace for U.S. adults:32.6 percent have hypertension, 13.1 percent have total cholesterol above 240 mg/dl, 9.3 percent of U.S. adults have diabetes, and 68.5 percent of U.S. adults are overweight or obese.
